What do you need
Can you describe yourself as an independent and ambitious person? If your answer is ‘yes’, then we’re halfway there. Before you apply for an Engineering Manager position, please check our requirements first, we might be a good match:
✅ At least 5 years of experience as a developer, including min. 1 year as a Team/Tech Leader, your position included:
- managing a team of at least three people (conducting 1:1 meetings, setting work standards, technical development, solving problems in the team with the help of HRBP).
- participating in meetings with clients, both for sales and in crisis situations.
- working in an English-speaking environment (foreign clients or team).
- using AI to increase work efficiency.
✅ Advanced technical knowledge in the field of:
- WordPress,
- PHP,
- CSS/HTML,
- VanillaJS,
- VueJs,
- MySQL (or other database management systems),
- ACF,
- WooCommerce,
- creating custom plugins and themes.
✅ Fluent knowledge of English (min. C1) and Polish (min. C1),
✅ Willingness to develop as a manager with our support.
Nice to have:
✅ Knowledge of: Docker, Composer, Vite/WebPack, configuring servers on AWS and/or DigitalOcean, Laravel, GitHub Actions, WPSpectra theme
Who do we look for
Currently, we are looking for a person who will join the WP Kraken Team as a Engineering Manager. Your main responsibilities will include:
✅ Managing the technical development of projects, determining risks, and ensuring appropriate work standards,
✅ Working on the strategy together with the CEO,
✅ Conducting 1:1 meetings with technical positions (5-person team),
✅ Actively participating in the creation of a sales offer in terms of development and attending meetings with clients in the final sales phase,
✅ Monitoring and improving processes affecting the quality of work and team effectiveness.
Massive Pixel Creation has been operating in the market for over 15 years, focusing on foreign markets. MPC has several brands such as Zendo, MassivePixel.io, and WP Kraken. Each of them offers different services/products, but they all belong to the parent company MPC.
We create our own products, handle outsourcing, and have a WP Kraken service department for which we are looking for an Engineering Manager. Our service department has been expanding its offerings over the years to cover more and more technologies, but unfortunately, this was not a good path. We are currently working on an offer focusing on WordPress (back to the roots). The WP Kraken brand is currently undergoing a complete rebranding, and we are also working on a new lead acquisition strategy, etc. We want the services we offer to be as productive as possible and not as custom as before.
